Churchill Wildlife Management Area, Wapusk National Park, Manitoba, Canada
As with humans, for the Polar Bears of Churchill it is all about location, location, location. The Bears congregate while waiting for the pack ice to form so they can get out to their favourite food source, seals. As soon as the ice has formed it is all down to who can get out there and start hunting first. This male had taken possession of the prime position and was constantly on the alert for any stray bears that might think about intruding.
